September 2012 Wrap-Up: Books and Reviews

October 1, 2012

Ye Grande Olde TBR(e) Challenge Update

I started September with 252 unread books sitting around my house. And I ended with … *drumroll* …252! I didn’t clear a lot of TBR books this month, but enough to keep the status quo. Although I can still see 250 from here! It’s been a slow month, reading-wise at least. It’s been a very busy month in a lot of other ways, hence no time and minimal attention for books. One of these months; one of these months it’s going to pick up again.

…anyways, let’s take a look at the breakdown:

Neutral books – Read, but don’t affect the TBR pile

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Read But Not Owned (Books)
Viva Jacquelina!: Being an Account of the Further Adventures of Jacky Faber, Over the Hills and Far Away by L. A. Meyer
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
Blood Moon by Alyxandra Harvey

Read But Not Owned (Graphic Novels)
Mouse Guard: Fall 1152, Winter 1152 and Legends of the Guard, Vol. 1 by David Petersen
Fables Vol. 17: Inherit the Wind by Bill Willingham
Explorer: The Mystery Boxes ed. by Kazu Kibuishi
Copper by Kazu Kibuishi

Changes to the TBR pile

Read from my TBR pile (huzzah!)
Kushiel’s Chosen by Jacqueline Carey
Darwin’s Ghosts: The Secret History of Evolution by Rebecca Stott
The Second Empress by Michelle Moran

Added to my TBR pile (all-around shame!)
The Emperor’s Soul by Brandon Sanderson Epic: Legends of Fantasy ed. by John Joseph Adams
The Year’s Best Fantasy & Horror: Fifteenth Annual Collection ed. by Ellen Datlow & Terri Windling
