February 2012 Wrap-Up: Books and Reviews

March 2, 2012

Ye Grande Olde TBR(e) Challenge Update

I started February with 270 unread books sitting around my house. And I ended with … *drumroll* …264! Damn right, minus 6!

…anyways, let’s take a look at the breakdown:

Neutral books – Read, but don’t affect the TBR pile

Audiobooks
The Lost Fleet: Dauntless by Jack Campbell
Insatiable by Meg Cabot

Read but not owned
Flight, Vols. 7 & 8 ed. by Kazu Kibuishi
The Unwritten, Vol. 4: Leviathan by Mike Carey & Peter Gross

Re-Reads
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

Changes to the TBR pile

Read from my TBR pile (huzzah!)
The Sexual History of London: From Roman Londinium to the Swinging City–Lust, Vice, and Desire Across the Ages by Catharine Arnold
Planesrunner by Ian McDonald
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson
Arcadia by Lauren Groff
Nefertiti by Michelle Moran
Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

Added to my TBR pile
(all-around shame!)

The Last Witch of Langenburg by Thomas Robisheaux
Non-TBR Acquisitions
(storage-space-related shame!)

Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

You’re ahead of the bookish game for a month: congrats!

BiP – I’m also in negative numbers for the year, but with all the ARCs I’ve been requesting, I’m sure it’ll soon even itself out.

That’s awesome! I have never counted how many books I have so I never have any idea how much my TBR pile grows and decreases…

Kailana – I’d probably be better off not knowing, but my friends encouraged me to count a few years ago and I’ve never been able to stop knowing since. :)

Wow, you did great with your TBR pile! I’m looking forward to your review of Insatiable.

Kay – It’s up. 2/3s of the main characters made me… cranky, shall we say?
