October 2010 Wrap-Up: Commenters and Search Terms
Commenters
I was bad (and on vacation) at the end of last month, so I didn’t put together a commenters and search terms post… so without further ado, many thanks to September’s AND October’s commenters!

Search Terms
my name is cameron smith and i’m stuck in
…a dead-end job? A brick of frozen carbonite? A fortune cookie factory?
the girl with fire in her eye
Ack, it burns, it burns!
don’t let go of the string hat
If I knit you some headwear, you’d better hold on to that sucker tight.
hoarding too many books
I have no idea what you could possibly mean by that. *looks around shiftily*
sex is not math
And a good thing, too, or fourth period in high school would have been very, very different.
Thanks for the mention, love this idea. I hope Cameron got out of whatever he was stuck in!
Some of those search terms boggle the mind.
Sam – You’re welcome! I love my commenters, and this just seemed like a nice way to let them know that!
LOL those search terms are brilliantly hilarious. Especially the one about sex not being math. Don’t you ever wonder how these searchers even got directed to you? I often do.
Amy – The “sex is not math” one I can actually explain. Earlier this year I reviewed a pop-science book called Mathematics and Sex, and, the internet being what it is, I tend to get a LOT of search traffic from that post.
…enough so that my top search term for the year is “mathematics.” I bet those searchers were disappointed!
This is a great idea! Thanks for the post. And I love the search terms.
Jenni – You’re welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
I both love and hate the ones where the search terms have been cut off before they’re done. I’m always so curious to know what the rest of it would have been!
Jenny – I’m always curious too, but sometimes the getting-cut-off part is what makes the funny happen.
“Sex is not math” – HAHAHAHAHA! Really, I love all the search terms (and your commentary), but this one totally took the cake.
Also: I really love that you take the time to give a shout-out to all the people who have commented on your blog. That’s just wonderful :)
Emily – Well, I think it’s wonderful that people take the time to comment on my blog, so it all comes out even in the end. :)
