TSS: Vacation on the far side of the world

September 26, 2010

The Sunday Salon.comHappy Sunday, all!

I’m currently in Australia for vacation (all right, it’s technically work – there’s a conference that starts tomorrow – but I mean really. How can this not be called vacation?) While I’ve got review posts scheduled to go the entire time I’m here, sporadic internet access and an abundance of conference-related activities (read: please-hire-me schmoozing) means I’m probably going to be pretty sparse around these parts… (i.e. even slower to respond to comments and worse about reading other people’s blogs than normal.) Sorry in advance!

Yeah, you and me both, buddy. That’s a pretty good depiction of what I felt like after I got off the plane in Sydney. Only, y’know, I was wearing pants.

That is such a long flight! (Not that I’ve done it, but my husband flew there for work last year and lost an entire day in the air.)

Awesome vacation location though! I hope you have a great time!

Alyce – Yeah, you lose a day, but then on the flight(s) coming back, the day lasts for 40-odd hours.

Kerrie – Nope, I was in Perth the whole time, sadly. Not that Perth wasn’t lovely, but I would’ve liked to see more of the country.

Oooooh, envious! My husband has been to Australia on business, twice. He is in love with the country and swears he’s going to take me. I may need to get that in writing. Have a great time!!
