gaiman “world’s end” -caribbean
Yar, I do think ye be tired o’ readin’ ’bout pirates, like the true dog-livered landlubber ye are. Although, seriously, can you even imagine how much better that third movie would have been if Gaiman had written it?

absolute sandman vs dollhouse
Well, considering the Absolute Sandman books are about 8 pounds each, and a dollhouse is usually made of wood that is – at most – 1/4″ thick, I’d say that the Absolute Sandman wins that cage match, easily.

the gathering storm aviendha sex
She’s still female.

I didn’t comment for a whole month?! I think it’s the first time this happened ever since you’ve been putting up these wrap-ups. *feels like a lousy blogging friend, resolves to be better in the future* :P

Nymeth – Oh no! Don’t feel bad! My own commenting has gone down the tubes lately, so I certainly am not keeping score on anybody else. Besides, I was absent for so much of May that there was barely anything on which to comment.

Hahaha, I had a happy moment picturing somebody dropping Absolute Sandman on a doll house. Not that, like, I have anything against dollhouses. I just sometimes enjoy watching things be destroyed.

    *is not psychopath*

Jenny – I know you’re not a psychopath, since I too found the image funny enough to post about it.

Unless we’re all psychopaths together. Hmm.

Oh, looky! I commented instead of lurking! I’m so pleased and proud. I got a kick out of the Absolute Sandman vs. dollhouse for the same reason as Jenny (also not a psychopath, TY) but it occurred to me that they could be referring to the TV series. Who wins in that case? I’m baffled.

    • June 9, 2010 11:51 am

Nancy – Well, if it was the Absolute Sandman going up against the DVDs, I think the book still wins. If it’s the books vs. the actual Dollhouse, then I think I’m going to have to give it to the Dolls…

I wonder if the Dollhouse search was about the Joss Whedon/Eliza Dushku tv show. Like maybe someone wondered if there was a comparison or something?

    • June 9, 2010 11:53 am

Amber – It’s definitely possible, although I’m not coming up with any obvious links at the moment. I think more likely that whoever it was was looking for “The Doll’s House”, which is the second volume of the Sandman series – maybe trying to figure out which volume of the Absolute Sandman it was in?

  5. June 8, 2010 9:52 pm

Oh I know! What I’d really like to see is something put together by Neil Gaiman and Tim Burton. Thanks for the link!

Ladytink – I’d never thought about that, but that really does seem like a very good match. Hollywood, get on it!
