Going dark (…for a bit)
Okay, folks, we’re down to crunch time on the dissertation, and since yesterday’s post was the last review I had lined up, things are going to be pretty quiet around here for the next two weeks or so. I barely have time (or mental energy) left to read, let alone write anything more than I’m already doing, and as much as I love reading and book blogging, something has to give. It’s going to suck, but it’s going to get done, and once I get the beast turned in I should be back up to full blogging strength – or at least 75% or so. (I still have that pesky defense to prepare for.)
In the meantime, though, I apologize for the radio silence. I’ll also be pretty much ignoring my feed reader, too, so if you’ve got posts you think I should see, or you read books you think I would like, please leave a comment and let me know, and I’ll go check it out on a study break. And, once I’ve got a bit of free time, I’ll have reviews of The Passage by Justin Cronin and Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn for you, as well as roughly… oh, I don’t know, let me go count… eleventy billion or so graphic novels, which seem to be the only thing my brain can focus on nowadays.
Totally understand your need for a break – good luck on the dissertation!
I will miss your blog posts, but I understand that the dissertation is more important, so hope all goes well with it!
Best of luck, though I’m sure you won’t need it. :-)
Good luck! And don’t worry about the blog- your dissertation is more important, and we totally understand.
Good luck finishing up!
Good luck with your dissertation! We’ll miss you but we’ll be there once you come back! :D
I hope all goes well with the dissertation. Looking forward to your review of The Passage – one I’m going to buy.
Lots of luck with your dissertation! I know it will turn out fantastic! :)
Good luck on everything!!
You’ve been going to school AND blogging? I could never do that. You have my heartfelt admiration. Best of luck with the dissertation.
Eleventy billion? Wow, you’ve been busy!
Best of luck with the final dissertation work! It’s for your PhD, right?
Good luck on your dissertation!
I hope the crunch time goes well and you get everything done.
I hope you’re getting a lot done!
