TSS: A quick note before I head back into the kitchen…
Happy Sunday, all! I hope everyone else is enjoying a nice spring weekend – I managed to go sit out in the sun yesterday and do some writing, and while I was admittedly bundled up in a heavy sweatshirt and a fleece blanket, it was still a nice reminder that spring is in fact on its way.
I doubt I’ll get much reading in today; my brain is pretty much boiled (too much dissertating!), and I have to clean my place and make some snacky appetizers (I’m thinking deviled eggs, breakfast meatballs, veggies and dip, and cheesy tomato-artichoke-scallion salad on garlic toast.) in preparation for the Oscars. At least I’ve got a good audiobook to listen to as I’m working! (Barrayar by Lois McMaster Bujold, for the curious.)
Also, it’s about time for my semi-annual request re: the Book Blogs Search Engine. If you’ve got a book blog, can you please go check the list and make sure you’re on it? Also, if you’d consider mentioning it to your readers, so they can make sure *they’re* on it, that would be awesome as well. The number of book bloggers seems to have exploded recently, and when it comes to the search, the more the merrier.

It was gorgeous here yesterday. I’ve actually seen a lot of the Oscar nominated movies this year, but the awards just don’t interest me.
bermudaonion – The awards don’t really interest me either; mostly I just like throwing the cocktail party.
I love to watch the Oscars, but I always have to wait until tomorrow to watch them as they are on far too late here.
I didn’t know about the Book Bloggers site. I will go and look.

Oh, I love deviled eggs. What are breakfast meatballs? I didn’t follow the Oscars at all, but I sure would have if you were serving that food at my house :-).
I know a lot of us appreciate all the work you put into the book blog search engine, it is amazing especially considering the number of book blogs out there.
Valerie – The breakfast meatballs are made out of breakfast sausage instead of ground beef, and instead of tomato sauce, they’re in a mix of apple butter and maple syrup. They’re dangerously good. :)
I loved Barrayar. Its wonderful.
I hear the 11th in the series is the best though. The name escapes me.
