Sunday Salon: Still Traveling edition
Well, first things first. When I said that I’d pick the winner of my giveaway of Fool on the Hill in a week, it didn’t occur to me that in a week I’d still be at this conference, and thus not having a lot of free time to do things like write posts.
So, only slightly delayed, I’m very happy to announce that random.org picked the winner of Fool on the Hill, and it is:
Jenny from Jenny’s Books!
Congrats, Jenny, and thanks so much to everyone who entered.

The conference is over, today is just traveling, but man am I pooped. The conference was interesting, and my talk went well, but no matter how well things go, conferences always wind up leaving me exhausted. I also haven’t had much time to read (or write the four reviews which are still on my backlog), let alone do things like respond to comments, or, god forbid, keep up with my feed reader. So, I’m back to normal soon, I promise, but today I think I will mostly be sleeping on the plane, and maybe reading a bit of my new book, Ice Land by Betsy Tobin… which, I’m only thirty-some pages in, but it’s quite good so far. We’ll see if it’s good enough to make me resist the siren song of the Nap, however. :)
Sounds a little overwhelming! I’d probably take a nap in all honesty. Glad that we will be seeing you back soon!
Wow, have you been busy! Glad to see your talk went well!
I’m glad your talk went well! You’re lucky that you can sleep on a plane – I never can!
Conventions exhaust me as well – even when I am not a presenter!
Sounds like you deserve a much needed day of R&R. I look forward to reading your review when life is back to normal.
Traveling leaves me tired, too. But I never seem to be too tired to read! Perhaps something light?
Oh yay!! Thank you, I am so excited. :) I hope you get some rest – I love to travel but it does completely wipe me out.
I’m glad things went well, and hope you get some rest soon. My husband speaks at conferences often and it always exhausts him too, so I can imagine how you’re feeling now.
Thanks, all! Our flight wound up being delayed for ~3 1/2 hours (grrrrr, USAir! GRR!), so it was a loooooong day of travelling. But I got plenty of reading done, got home safe, and got to sleep in my own bed, so it all worked out. :)
