My First Blogiversary!
One year ago today, Fyrefly’s Book Blog came into being! Break out the cupcakes!
I started this blog mainly because I wanted to be able to list my reviews with more detail than the LibraryThing review RSS feed would allow – cover images, dates started/finished, etc. I’d toyed around with posting my reviews on my LiveJournal, but I knew no one was reading them there. I didn’t necessarily expect anyone to read this blog either, I just wanted some formatting control, so imagine how shocked I was to find such a incredible community – not just of people who were avid readers, but of *wonderful* people who were also avid readers. Blogging’s been more time-consuming than I had expected, but it’s also been infinitely more rewarding, due mostly to you, my wonderful readers.
Since my blogiversary is so close to the end of the year, I’m going to save all of the statistics (books reviewed, etc.) for then, and take this opportunity to ask for feedback about the blog itself. Do you think it’s easy to navigate? Easy to find what you’re looking for? Is the post structure easy to read? Anything you like and want to see more of (or see more prominently), or hate and want to see less of?
Congratulations! And I love your blog! I’ve always loved that firefly jar thing you have. And it’s so organized. Keep up the good work!
yaayy!! happy blogiversary!!! Has it been just one year? Feels like I have known you forever!!
Happy Blogiversary!

Happy Blogiversary! I love your blog. The only thing that bugs my old eyes is the small font, but I can increase that on my own screen…so no need to change for me.
Cupcakes? Did someone mention cupcakes? ;-)
Happy Blogiversary!
Happy Blogiversary!
Congratulations! Happy Blogiversary! I like your blog just the way it is.
Happy Blogiversary! I think you have a wonderful blog. It’s very straight forward and your posts are always well written and enjoyable to read. I am glad you are a part of this great community!
Congratulations! I love your blog. No changes necessary.
Yay! Happy Blogiversary!
I love your blog, everything is super easy to find, and I absolutely adore your reading lists tab – everything so organized, and those calendars *la sigh* so cool :)
Happy blogiversary!!
I agree with Joanne. Your blog is very easy to navigate and well-organized. I like the post structure a lot too. Plus, you have such a pretty header!
Happy Blogversary. I can’t even imagine hitting 1 year yet! I love the name of your blog!
Happy blogiversary!
Interestingly enough, your blog anniversary is the same day as my birthday. So, yay for both of us today! :)
And I love your blog, don’t have any complaints.
Congratulations on a job well done. Your blog is wonderful just the way it is.
Congrats – that’s a thrilling milestone :)
Happy blogiversary! Yours is one of the best laid out blogs I read so no need to change
Congrats!! Wow, that gives me hope! You have a great blog. it’s always interesting and easy to navigate. A really nice place to visit.
Happy blogversary! I have to concur with most people — I think your categories and reading lists are super well-organized. I like all the details you put in your reviews (page numbers, etc). I wish I could offer some more constructive comments, but that’s all I’ve got for now :)
Happy Bloggiversary! I think your blog is great and the only regret that I have is that there isn’t a neat little “subscribe to follow up comments” like blogger has-but that’s definitely not your fault! I’ve started subscribing to comments in my google reader because I forget to come back. Anyway–that doesn’t really help. :P Here’s wishing you a great year in 09!
I found your blog some weeks ago and am glad I did. I was googling around for reviews reading The Host, wondering more and more if I was the only person in the world who had felt some specific dissatisfactions with the book without being a Stephenie Meyer hater. I really liked your analysis of her characters–Wanderer’s lack of “agency,” for example, is a great way to put it. I was even more pleased to see that our taste in fiction overlaps enough that I’d come across a great place to find new authors!
Mine is a weaving blog but books seem to work their way in now and again just because I read way more than I weave.
So, I guess what I’m saying is good job, keep it up! (And the person rummaging around happily in your archives is probably me.)
Happy Blogiversary!!!!!
Happy blogiversary! I think you’re doing a great job!
Happy belated blogiversary! I would never have guessed when I started in late February you’d only been blogging for a couple of months!
