Read-a-thon – Hours 5 & 6 – Book 2 done!
One-quarter of the read-a-thon down! Woo hoo! It certainly doesn’t feel like two hours since I posted last.
I apparently have a knack for finishing books right at the hour mark – I closed the cover of Fablehaven right after my watch beeped. I think I’m a bit out of the target audience to really love it, but it was certainly an exciting and imaginative adventure story, and I wouldn’t say no to reading the sequel (ooh, need to go see if I can mooch the sequel).
In the past two hours I also finally got out of bed, had a frozen mini-pizza for lunch (while re-reading bits of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), and listened to about 14 minutes of my audiobook (Dreamsongs, Vol. 3 by George R. R. Martin). I’m starting to get a little dozy, so I think maybe some more audiobook listening and a walk might do me good.
Oh, and I also won a mini-challenge prize for two books! Very exciting (and thanks to the prize donors)!
