July 4, 2008

I’ve been quiet recently, and my guess is that radio silence is going to continue. My current books have been wicked slow, so I haven’t finished anything since Sunday (the horror!). And, I’m leaving today for a two-week vacation, and I’m not sure what the internet situation is going to look like while I’m gone. If all else fails, though, look forward a glut of posts when I get back!

Here’s what I’m bringing with me:
Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell – I WILL finish this on the plane today!
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Doomsday Book by Connie Willis
The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold
Devil in the White City by Eric Larson
Redwall by Brian Jacques (depending if I have room left in my carry-on!)

What about y’all? What are you reading on your vacation?

Have a wonderful time! Especially the reading. As for me, no vacation this year. Maybe we should actually think about that and decide if it really is going to be a no vacation year. I keep reading of everybody else’s vacations and want one of my own.

Sadly, vacation thus far has proved to have not all that much time for reading *or* audiobook listening. Not that I’m not having a great time, but I can’t read in the car and there’s not a lot of other downtime for reading. :(
